Upwake.Me has revealed a brand-new extraction shooter called Hawked. The game will be available to play in a closed alpha test from November 24 until November 28 via Steam. The multiplayer PvPvE game will launch in early access for PC in 2023, followed by Xbox One, Xbox Series S-X, PS4, and PS5 at a later date.
Interested players can join the Closed Alpha by clicking 'request access' on the game's Steam page. The alpha test will only be available for players on PC. According to the developers, the goal of the closed alpha is to showcase what the team has built so far. As with any alpha or beta, the team is receptive to making changes based on player feedback. You can find the technical specs for Hawked on the official website.
Hawked is a PvPvE extraction shooter game in which players compete against each other to collect the most artifacts from a lost civilization. It takes place on the mysterious island of X-Isle. Players will be pitted against AI disciples and other players in their quest to find lost treasure. Hawked emphasizes exploration and mobility, allowing players to surf and zipline around the ecologically diverse map. Players will be able to upgrade their gear as they proceed through the game.
Hawked is planned to have both solo and team play. Players accumulate points by collecting artifacts, and the team or player with the most points at the end of the game will be declared the grand winner.
Hawked is targeted for an early 2023 early access release date. Developer and publisher Upwake.Me shared that Hawked will launch as a free-to-play after a period of early access next year.
