There are plenty of Submachine Guns in Modern Warfare 2 to choose from, all of which offer their own unique advantages in certain scenarios. The Vel 46, for example, is a pretty solid SMG that not only offers a fast ADS time for the base build, but it also provides a decent mag size. In this guide, you will be introduced to the Fennec 45, an SMG which is considered one of the strongest by the Call Of Duty community.
The Fennec 45 is a gun that performs remarkably well at close range due to its superfast fire rate and moderate aim-down sight speed. While this gun does excel in close-quarters combat, the damage falloff is remarkably high, making it near useless from afar. Despite this flaw, the Fennec 45 is still a formidable weapon to come across on the battlefield. Unlocking this gun isn't at complicated as weapons like the Lachmann Sub, as you will only need to reach level 25 to unlock it.
The Best Attachments For The Fennec 45
|FORGE TAC NINJA (Barrel)||
|FENNEC MAG 45 (Magazine)||
|VLK LZR 7MW (Laser)||
|FTAC STOCK CAP (Stock)||
|FENNEC RUBBER GRIP (Rear Grip)||
The attachments we have chosen for the Fennec 45 aim to improve the range and effectiveness of this weapon, while also improving the ADS and sprint-to-fire speed. We have selected attachments like the FORGE TAC NINJA so that you can maintain a low profile while engaging in gunfights. Also, the FENNEC MAG 45 will bump up the number of rounds to 45 to compensate for this gun's high-fire rate. The VLK LZR 7MW attachment also comes in handy to your ADS, aiming stability, and sprint-to-fire speed. This allows you to get your weapon up as soon as possible after sprinting but also keeps it stable and accurate.
While the above attachments are highly recommended to improve the Fennec 45's performance, some players may not be comfortable running the iron sights. If you fall into this category, then you could swap out the VLK LZR 7MW for an optic attachment like the SLIMLINE PRO or even the S7 MINI. However, doing so will reduce your ADS speed slightly, and removing the laser attachment will mean that you'll lose out on all its benefits. Also, keep in mind that optics that provide a higher magnification will slow down your movement speed while walking. This is the case for optics like the CORIO ENFORCER OPTIC, the SZ LONEWOLF OPTIC, and many more.
As mentioned in previous guides, the X12 is a great swap-to weapon, even more so with Akimbo equipped. Running Dual-weld pistols will result in you having to sacrifice accuracy, but you will need to be up close with this loadout anyway. The X13 Auto is also a great choice and is acquired through progressing through the X12 Weapon Platform.
However, equipping perks like Scavenger will eliminate the need to run a swap-to-weapon for the most part, and running the FENNEC MAG 45 attachment plus Fast Hands will minimize the risk of being caught while reloading. This gives you room to carry a launcher, which is great for taking out pesky killstreaks that belong to the opposing team.
Best Perks For The Job
|Base Perks||Bonus Perk (Earned in Match)||Ultimate Perk (Earned in Match)|
|Double Time & Scavenger||Fast Hands||Ghost or Quick Fix|
The Fennec 45 is best tailored for running-and-gunning, and so the perks we suggested for the MX9 will definitely apply here. Fast Hands is definitely a must, especially after equipping the FENNEC MAG 45 as it will slow down your reload speed. Scavenger is recommended for players who tend to rack up a decent amount of kills before dying, mainly to compensate for the fact that you will run out of ammunition fairly quickly due to this SMG's high fire rate. Ghost is also a great perk to counter UAV spam, but you can always swap it out for Quick Fix if you have no problem showing up on the mini-map.
