Fallout 76 Live Action Fan Trailer Leaves Devs "Speechless"

Nov 15, 2022 · 25

A recent Fallout 76 live-action fan-made concept trailer has landed on YouTube and has received praise from the game's developers. The two-minute trailer video does an incredible job of depicting the post-nuclear United States of America, which left the developers themselves "speechless."

The live-action trailer on the Infectious Designer YouTube channel was directed by Brian Curtin and received the attention of the developers a few hours after its debut. The official Twitter account of Fallout has tweeted about the fan trailer, stating that it was incredible and managed to leave them speechless.

The fan-made concept trailer starts with a delivery truck carrying Nuka-Cola, one of the most iconic products that starred throughout the Fallout games. The trailer video then proceeds with another scene where a Mister Gutsy robot is playing with a child. While our encounters with these robots in past titles have been quite troublesome, these flying units of machinery have been commonplace in the households of the pre-war USA in the Fallout series. Those who ventured into the Boston wasteland in Fallout 4 should remember the peaceful Mister Gutsy in the prologue of the game as well.

The fan trailer also showcases some of the most iconic outfits and weaponry in the series and makes use of the in-game audio as well. From the Elite NCR Ranger Armor on the cover of Fallout: New Vegas to the PipBoy that has been a solid companion to players throughout the series, the Fallout 76 live-action concept trailer does seem to convey a sense of authenticity.

And of course, the trailer video coincides with the anniversary celebrations of Fallout 76 as well, which was released four years ago. And it is not the only astonishing fan work on Fallout we have seen this year. A fan-made concept trailer imagined Fallout 5 while also showcasing the incredible capability of Unreal Engine 5.

While the fan trailer seems to have impressed the developers, it also brings the official Fallout 76 live-action trailer and the long-awaited Fallout TV series to mind. The latter has been in the works at Amazon for some time now. While the streaming giant released an image from the upcoming show, a release date is still yet to be confirmed. Fallout fans, on the other hand, have been enjoying the 25th-year anniversary celebrations across all titles. Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition went free on the Epic Games Store and Prime Gaming gave away Fallout 76 to all of its subscribers a few weeks ago.
