Buddy Daddies, the original anime about killers who unexpectedly turn into doting fathers, released a new trailer in anticipation of its release in 2023.
Produced by P.A. WORKS (Akiba Maid War, Ya Boy Kongming! and Angel Beats!), Buddy Daddies follows a pair of professional hired killers who find themselves with one of the most difficult tasks in their careers: babysitting the four-year-old daughter of a mob boss. The official account of the anime released its first trailer, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect as well as casting details. The trailer is fast-paced, throwing the two killers into adrenaline-filled situations such as a gunfight and a car chase. The intensity heightens tenfold because they now have to care for a little girl who doesn't seem to have a conceptual idea of what danger is.
When Kazuki Kurusu is not working as a criminal contractor/coordinator, he gambles and spends his time flirting with women. Kazuki lives with his best friend, Rei Suwa, a professional assassin who has dedicated his life to being a contract killer. The two present a pair of extreme opposites who somehow work: the extroverted Kazuki is often seen with a smile on his face, while in contrast, Rei says very little and prefers to play video games when he's not killing people. One day, when Kazuki is on a mission dressed up as Santa Claus, he encounters a four-year-old girl named Miri Unasaka who comes looking for her mafia boss father. Things go from bad to worse when the hotel that Kazuki and Rei are in suddenly lights up with gunfire.
