Quillmane
Quillmane is a pegasus that roams the Southern Plains of Karana. She is one of the most legendary and elusive creatures in the history of Norrath.
Overview
In the early days of EverQuest, Quillmane earned a reputation for being one of the most sought after creatures in the entire game. Being an extraordinarily rare spawn, players had countless theories as to what her placeholders were and what the best method of getting her to spawn was.
The Pegasus Feather Cloak that she drops gave players the power of levitation when worn, which made it a highly desirable item. And the cloak is no drop items, which means it cannot be traded or sold.
On top of that, the cloak was one of the last items required for the magician class' epic weapon quest. Many magicians found themselves wandering the vast grasslands of Karana slaughtering everything in sight hoping to to catch a glimpse of the mythical pegasus. And even if they found her, she doesn't always drop the cloak.
